Authenticity
How we check that a piece is real
Ninth Corner is a small Toronto operation, so we say exactly what we do instead of printing a badge. Today every piece is sourced from an established resale or retail house and checked against the release it claims to be. As our own warehouse comes together, pieces are also inspected by hand before they ship — and only those carry the "Inspected by Ninth Corner" stamp on the product page.
We only buy from established houses
Pieces come from resale and retail houses with their own authentication and return policies — StockX, GOAT and sellers with a long, checkable history. We do not buy from open marketplaces, anonymous listings or bulk replica suppliers, and no piece goes up from a source we can't stand behind.
Style code and label matching
Before a listing goes live the style / SKU number on the item is matched against the release it claims to be, and the label, tag and stitching in the listing photos are compared against genuine production for that season. A piece whose photos don't show enough is rejected rather than guessed at.
You can run the same check yourself
Our legit check reads your photos and reports marker by marker: a green check means the marker matches genuine production, a red X means it doesn't, and an amber question mark means the photo can't show it. Nothing is counted as a pass because it couldn't be seen.
If anything is wrong, you're covered
Send it back for a full refund, including the shipping you paid, and we pull the listing and stop buying from that source. You never pay a restocking fee, and you don't need to prove anything beyond photos.
What our legit check is — and isn't
It is a photo-based opinion built from the markers counterfeits usually get wrong. It is not a certificate, and it can't replace holding an item. A "likely authentic" result means nothing failed and enough markers matched; a single red X is enough for us to treat a piece as not real.
